TORRES MAESTRO AGUDELO HERL

Antioquia sculptor, born in Cedeño (Yarumal), the January 28, 1961 where his contact with the work in the mines of powder, they opened the door to his vocation for the art of sculpture.

He began his artistic creation in 1984, under the guidance of Master Corrales Orlando Moncada, with whom he shares his first experiences in the talc stone carving, developing a distinctive style and full of ease and movement. Scholar of classical art, attend workshops and talks on this subject in the Palace of Culture Rafael Uribe Uribe and share various techniques with various artists since 1999, when establishing his studio in the south of Medellín.

Complements his artistic training, with ongoing research in different materials such as limestone and wood, leading to a profound study of white marble Danta (Sonsón), discovering their quality work art. Since 1999, handles direct carving sculptures acquired by numerous private collectors.

His style, beautiful form, reproduces natural forms in the inert material with details that reflect the intimate relationship between the artist and his work. Love of portraiture, sculpture works in detail, with proper management of perspective and proportion artistic.

The Civil Bolivar is Sabaneta Herlan the Master's work marks the revival of direct carving white marble sculpture material monumental. Represents not only a personal achievement but a reference in the personality cult of the Fatherland Liberation.

He has received awards from: The Governor of Antioquia, House of Culture The Barquereña of Sabaneta, Yarumal City Council, Cultural House and Library Miguel Uribe Restrepo José Félix de Restrepo de Envigado. Recognition for their valuable contribution to the precious marble of the jurisdiction of the Tapir, Sonson, by Dr. John Arroyabe Mayor Sonsón, 2007. The Public Improvement Society gives Sabaneta in 2008, the Medal of Civic Merit José Félix de Restrepo. On November 22, 2008 received the Order of Democracy "Simón Bolívar", the highest honor of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, at the hands of Dr. Oscar Arboleda Palacio. Also, the Rotary Club of Sabaneta makes an award in 2009 for his commendable work of art.

More than 1,000 sculptures, many of which are of a monumental, rest in private collections of living in Spain, Guatemala and the United States. Also, it has a public works such as Mother Laura, located in Medellin Calazans College, the Student Tribute, located in the Universidad del Alto Sinu Monteria, the Horsemen at Camp Memorial, St. Francis of Assisi and Mary Help of Christians in the State of Barinas (Venezuela).

His work The Civil Bolivar Sabaneta, becomes the country's first monumental sculpture in white marble Colombian cultural and artistic reference southern Valle de Aburrá by the original character that has to represent the Father of the Nation. lang = "EN">
